Tom Cruise: “Me and my shadow”?

by Rick Ross
It has been observed that Scientology’s most important celebrities seem to almost always have Scientologists nearby in what can be seen as constant surveillance or special handling.
Tom and Katie plus two more makes fourThe list of heavy hitters worthy of such an effort has included the very rich Lisa Marie Presley, John Travolta, Tom Cruise, billionaire heir James Packer and most recently Katie Holmes.
A reportedly “creepy” example of this surfaced recently ”down under” while Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes visited to attend the funeral of the late Kerry Packer, Australia’s richest man. The couple were constantly shadowed by a “mystery” pair seen at every function that the two attended reported the Sydney Morning Herald.
Scientology’s “Top Gun” has himself seemingly been stalking Australian billionaires lately, apparently hoping to land one for his controversial church. This has included heirs to both the Packer and Murdoch fortunes, the two richest families in the country.
But Cruise and Holmes appeared to be getting stalked themselves by another couple.
The female component of this probable Scientology surveillance team was likely Ms. Holmes apparent full-time handler Jessica Rodriquez, now supposedly Katie’s “best friend.”
The former teen idol, whose career has gone from acting to becoming a suitable mate and child bearer for the “world’s biggest movie star,” may have become the Scientology version of the “Virgin Mary.”
The man shadowing Mr. Cruise remains a complete mystery, but the press described him as both “weird” and “creepy.”
“Every move Tom made, this guy did the same thing…When Tom stripped down to his shorts, so did he,” reported the Sydney Morning Herald.
And the “mystery couple” was busy reporting information to someone.
They ”carried their Blackberries everywhere, watching Tom and Katie while incessantly tapping out messages to persons unknown” reported the press.
So it seems Scientology headquarters may never be more than a text tap away when you are as important an asset as Tom Cruise.
This foursome is indeed a bit “weird” and “creepy.”

Cruise, Holmes pay disrespects

By The Arizona Republic
Can suspiciously fake love get any creepier?Try suspiciously fake love at a funeral.Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes engaged in their trademark public groping at services in Australia for late media tycoon Kerry Packer, the New York Daily News reports. Holmes and Cruise, a pal of Packer's son, James, were all over each other during the service at the Sydney Opera House, according to the tab. Afterward, it was time for the traditional après interment sunbathing aboard the Packer family yacht. In other TomKat news, reports that Cruise attack lawyer Bert Fields has put on his lucky litigation hat have failed to dissuade Life & Style from its righteous crusade to out the couple as over. The magazine's Web site practically begs the Cruise camp to take legal action - with all of the free publicity that might ensue - with a tease to this week's cover story that features the tag line, "They're acting like a happy couple in public, but in private friends say IT'S GETTING NASTY!" According to the always anonymous "insider," the couple's smiles during their recent Australian respects-paying/tanning trip disappeared once the cameras left. Also, it was leaked, Holmes hates being a cog in the Cruise PR machine.

Cruise may sue over split story

By RTE.ie
According to his lawyer, Tom Cruise is considering suing American magazine Life & Style for claiming that he had ended his relationship with Katie Holmes.
The actor was apparently enraged by the report, which alleged that he had finished his engagement to Holmes.
When Life & Style published the story last week, Cruise immediately issued a denial, labelling the claims "malicious fallacies" and saying that the story was "100 percent false".
Cruise's lawyer Bert Fields said: "This is a disgusting and malicious story. It is unequivocally false and I have already demanded a retraction."
"I will be sitting down with Tom in the next couple of days to discuss this story," he said, adding: "Ultimately it's his call as to whether we bring a lawsuit. But if it was up to me, I would sue."

Tom Cruise, Holmes Deny Breakup Report

by AP news
LOS ANGELES - Not true. That was Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes response about the report by Life & Style magazine claiming that the Hollywood superstar and his pregnant paramour have split up
"It should be known that the story is 100 percent false," Arnold Robinson, a publicist for the couple, said in a statement. "Mr. Cruise and Ms. Holmes are still engaged and are moving forward with their wedding plans, as well as planning for the arrival of their child."
The Feb. 27 issue of the magazine, which will be on news stands Friday, says in a cover story that the public pair "plan to keep up the charade of their romance until after their baby's birth this spring."
Holmes, 27, and Cruise, 43, have been engaged since June. They announced her pregnancy in October.
"Despite the malicious fallacies put forth by Life & Style magazine, the couple is looking forward to a long and happy life together as a family," Robinson said.
A representative for the magazine said, "We stand 100 percent behind our story."
The story says its information comes from two unnamed friends of Cruise.

Australia braced for Tom Cruise and the closet

By Marcus Casey
A CONTROVERSIAL episode of manic cartoon South Park featuring Tom Cruise locking himself in a closet will be aired by SBS next week. The episode angered Cruise when it was aired in the US in November. It was subsequently pulled by the Paramount comedy channel on the UK's BSkyB after fears Cruise - tipped to attend Kerry Packer's memorial tomorrow - would sue.
"We haven't received any legal threats so we're going to publish and be damned," an SBS spokesman said yesterday.
Cruise is shown believing character Stan is the reincarnation of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, but is devastated when the boy tells Cruise that Leonardo DiCaprio is a better actor.
Cruise locks himself in Stan's closet and refuses pleas from people including former wife Nicole Kidman and fellow Scientologist John Travolta to come out.

Nanny Exposes Tom Cruise & Nicole Kidman Family Secrets

by Tashi Singh
Celebrity nanny Suzanne Hansen has taken a shot at Nicole Kidman's mothering skills in her controversial new book, where she claims she never saw the actress around her children when she worked in Hollywood for celebrity couples.
In her new tell-all book "You'll Never Nanny in This Town Again," Hansen alleges that Kidman played only a small part in raising her children, Conor and Isabella.
Hansen dishes to Page Six, "I never saw her (with her children)."
Hansen also alleges that wacko Cruise drew up strict confidentiality guidelines for the sitters and caregivers he hired, so they would never be able to contradict claims he made about his own fathering skills.
She adds, "Tom would make his nannies sign confidentiality agreements that were so strict, they couldn't even say for whom they were working ... So basically, if (Cruise) went on camera and said how he didn't have any help raising his children, they couldn't say anything."
Why do people sign these stupid agreements? If no one signed them, they wouldn't exist, and these people would be forced to take care of their own kids. Like real parents.

Cruise Blasts Biographer's Gay Porn Mole
By WENN Monday, February 13, 2006

HOLLYWOOD - Tom Cruise is threatening to sue acclaimed biographer Andrew Morton after discovering he has hired a gay porn star to shed light on his private life. Morton, who famously collaborated with Diana, Princess of Wales to pen an account of her life, has hired Los Angeles private investigator and former gay adult actor Paul Baressi to probe on-going speculation the Top Gun hunk is gay. Baressi has reportedly already given Morton letters from Cruise's attorney insinuating the star enjoyed a homosexual liaison while shooting Eyes Wide Shut in the UK. Cruise's lawyer Bert Fields is quick to rubbish the story: "I wrote a letter to Mr. Morton back in November and said he obviously was entitled to write the book but 'make sure you check your facts'. "If he tries to use my letter to create the impression that Mr. Cruise did have a gay affair, we will certainly sue... because the story is false. Mr. Cruise is not gay."
